Extra Father's Day gift.

This is my hubby's work frame.  His work cracked down on how all the managers' desks were looking.  One of the new rules is the only pictures they are allowed to have, have to fit into this frame.  At least his work gave out the frames. He loved it, along with all his co-workers!   I love it when every thing just fits right.  The pictures I knew that I wanted in it worked great with the papers. Frame from Storybook Blue/green Primas w/ blue Stickles center Paper came from a pack, Target brand Picture is a free 8x10 collage from Walgreens.  It was a Father's Day special. The title was printed on the picture. I'm also giving away blog candy, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post.

Quiet- what's that!

Triple the Scraps Challenge Word #9: Quiet Quiet is something that is alien in this house.  With three toddlers, the noise volume is almost ear shattering at time.  Right now I am not feeling like I have a quiet and gentle spirit but that is what I want me children to remember. 1 Peter 3:4 ministered to me, it is instruction and direction on how I should strive to be.  Especially now in the chaos I seem to be living in. You should be known for the beauty that comes within, the unfailing beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is precious to God. Diaper cake

I love making custom diaper cakes!!!  I have two cousins and a church friend expecting this summer so that means diaper cakes galore!!!  Here is the first one...  It's going to be a boy but they're keeping the name a secret so I had to go with Baby Dunn.  Luckily I found the bedding set online so I was able to match the colors. Here is the topper, I used chipboard and covered it with a wallpaper sample.  My cousin will be able to hang it on the nursery door. The font is Storybook and the flowers are Primas. One down, two to go :)

Fantabulous!

FANTABULOUS CRICUT challenge Challenge #13-   For The Bride:   Create a project using one of the following: something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. For this project, I used Wild Card /Sweethearts cartridges  and created a sweet card for the bride and groom.  I decided to go with old/borrowed for this card.  I used the pink cardstock from the wedding invitation.  The colors are pink and black so I think she'll love it! You can play along at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog !

OWH- embossed foil tutorial

OWH- Stars and Stripes had Tutorial Tuesday and I was all over it! Double EMBOSSED FOIL . Using a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil and  emboss it with whatever embossing plate you like to use and finally heat emboss it with clear powder to set the ink. My foil was not heavy duty so I took a long piece and folded it half to make it thicker, here is what I was able to get.  I used lavender pigment ink.  I also heat embossed the stamp.
