Hello, friends.  Marilyn here with a product review of iron-on vinyl.  I have never used it before, so here we go...  My tip:  Never give up trying new things!  Such fun! What is needed: Iron-on vinyl.  I purchased mine at Hobby Lobby for $14.99.  What you get is one large sheet of glitter iron-on vinyl.  It is layered with a sticky clear sheet that is needed when applying the vinyl to your clothing. Clothing to apply the vinyl onto.  I purchased a package of four baby onesies, sized 3-6 months.  Tip: Make sure to wash and dry the clothing before applying the vinyl. Iron.  Set to cotton temperature.  Make sure the steam button is in the OFF position. Cricut Image.  I used an image from Cricut Brooklyn Iron-on cartridge. Place iron-on glitter vinyl on your mat and cut with blade set to 3, speed-low, pressure-medium.  My image came from Cricut Brooklyn Iron-on cartridge [bow-tie1] .  I cut it at 4".    Tip:  make sure your image has been "flipped" before cutti

Hello, Friends!  Marilyn here with a tutorial on using vinyl to create a decorative tray.  My tip:  Measure Twice, Cut Once... not original but definitely applies when cutting vinyl. Here is what I used: Vinyl - silver vinyl.  I ordered this through eBay. Transfer Tape.  Tray - black wooden tray I found on sale at Michaels two years ago.  Cricut Cartridge - Songbird.  First step is to measure the tray and determine what size font will fit. Cricut Craft Room software In the Cricut Craft Room (CCR), I selected the font text from Songbird Cricut Cartridge.  I changed the Letter Spacing to -22 in order to weld the letters together.  I then made the length 9.9". Next, I cut the font text out using card stock to make sure I was happy with the size. Once satisfied with the sizing, I cut the font text using vinyl.  Settings for cutting vinyl:  blade 3, speed low, pressure medium Weed and remove all the negative cuts. Place transfer tape ove

Hey kids!  It's Cindy for the SBC blog today.  I'm sharing a cool cardbase tutorial.  So grab your paper trimmer and scoring tools.  TiP:  Save your skinny paper scraps, too.  You'll need them on this one :-) Steps: 1.) start with a 5 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock 2.) 1" from the left- cut from 1" to 6 1/2" 3.) 4 1/2" from the left - cut from 1" to 6 1/2"  Steps: 1.) from the left edge to the cut line, Score at 1", 2", 6 1/2"  2. ) from the other cut line (4 1/2" from left edge) Score at 1", 2", 6 1/2" from the cut line to the right edge 3. ) Score at 5 1/2" just between the cut lines Time to fold: Start at the 1" score line and make a mountain fold, at the 2" make a valley fold, at the 5 1/2" another mountain, at the 6 1/2" another mountain.  It should look like the one above. Carolyn here for Scrapbook Blessing's Club Monday's Die Cut project.  Before I begin, I would like to apologize for being late with this posting.  Sometimes, life just gets in the way, and I forget what I am to do. But first, here is my tip for you today :  Keep track of  card stock and paper used so you can write it up in a recipe for readers to read. Now for my die cut machine project .... my good ole trusty Silhouette Cameo machine.  I do most of my die cutting with the Cameo, but occasionally I will bring out my Sizzix Big Shotz (my 2nd choice of die cutting machines).   Die cutting machine used:  Silhouette Cameo Cardstock from my personal stash - not sure if it's from Wal-mart or a local craft store. Design paper from stash. I used SCAL3 software and created a shape card (yes, I know this is a card but I am wanting to display the die cuts!!) of a giraffe.  All pieces were cut out using the Cameo.  The sentiment is stamped but

Hey you all, it's Carolyn for the Scrapbook Blessings Club, and I am here to show you scrapbook layouts that I have created, past and present projects.   I will have to admit that most of my layouts are from Creative Kuts  that she offers on her Facebook Group page for a nominal fee, and for me, I look at the kits and decide if I can work a layout project for one of my grandchildren's scrapbook.  I believe this was a kit that came out in the Summer of 2012 and it's a one page layout.  I layered all onto blue cardstock which represents the sky.  The green design paper with grass is the grassy area of a beach .  Two photo mats placed to the left and the title "Too Flippin' Cute" placed on top of the first photo mat.  A pair of flip flops and a scalloped doilie to place another photo into.     This was for a project last November - where I used a snowman, snow shovel and snowflakes from Cindy Pointe of the Cut and Create Store.   I created a sno
